How To Hang-Dry® Your Suit/Gear.

Things you really need to know about your Gear/Suits and why the Hang-Dry® is SO important.

Cleaning your Gear/Suit
Here’s How:

  1. Rinse off all dirt, debris, and mold in warm water until soaked.
  2. Use soft cloth and soft soap like baby soap to remove all leftovers dirt, debris, and mold.
  3. Wash off all soap thoroughly and repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 if necessary.
  4. Hang Gear/Suit on Hang-Dry until Gear/Suit is dry to your liking, avoid Hanging in direct sun light or in a high humidity area. Direct sun light jeopardizes the integrity of the materials and makes the Gear/Suit unsafe.
  5. Check to see if the manufactures of your Gear/Suit require you to follow up with some type of  conditioning, and properly store to prevent mold from returning.
  6. Dry off with the Hang-Dry® after every use.

Tips

  1. Clean entire leather item to ensure an even color and texture result.
  2. When using anything other than a specialized leather cleaner, do a spot test and allow it to dry prior to cleaning the entire item.
  3. Always follow manufacturer’s instructions when using a cleaner specifically for leather.
  4. Never use detergent to clean leather.
  5. If home methods do not work, contact a professional leather cleaner in your area.
  6. Run Hang-Dry® as long as you need to, you will not hurt it.

What You’ll  Need

  • A soft cloth
  • A warm, dry environment
  • Leather cleaner or mild soap
  • and a Hang-Dry®

Additional Tips 

  1. When drying gear/suits do it inside or in a shaded area (the sun will damage your gear/suit).
  2. Seal the gear/suit waist area as much as possible so the air flows  thoroughly through gear/suit and ventilate out the sleeve or pant leg.
  3. When using the Hang-Dry® to dry your gear/suit it can also dry your under armor, hood, and helmet, when used correctly.
  4. We recommend transporting the Hang-Dry from the handle part with our bracket.
